Prop Firms With MT5
10 firms · Updated May 2026
MetaTrader 5 remains the platform most prop traders actually want: it runs the expert advisors and indicators they already use, its charting is familiar, and moving between firms is painless when both sides support it. It has also become genuinely scarce. Since MetaQuotes began cutting prop firms off its licences in early 2024, much of the industry migrated to alternatives like cTrader, DXtrade, TradeLocker and Match-Trader, and the firms that still provide real MT5 access — typically through a regulated broker arrangement — treat it as a selling point.
That scarcity is the reason to filter deliberately here. If your strategy depends on an MT5 expert advisor or a specific indicator set, choosing for MT5 first and price second protects you from buying a challenge you cannot properly trade.
The table below lists every firm we track that currently offers MT5, ranked by the cheapest account after live discounts. Platform line-ups change more often than most firm terms, so confirm MT5 is still offered on the firm's own site before you pay.
How we rank
Only firms listing MT5 among their platforms appear, ordered by their cheapest account after live discounts. The order is recomputed from the pricing and terms in our database whenever a firm's data changes — no firm can pay for its position on this page. Prop Firms With MT5: FAQs
Why do so few prop firms offer MT5?
MetaQuotes stopped licensing most prop firms in early 2024, which forced much of the industry onto alternative platforms. Firms that still offer MT5 usually do so through an arrangement with a licensed broker, which not every firm can or wants to maintain.
Can I run my EA on a prop firm MT5 account?
MT5 support means EAs can technically run, but firms restrict how they may be used — high-frequency strategies, latency arbitrage and copy trading are commonly banned regardless of platform. Check the firm's prohibited-strategy rules before relying on automation.
Do I need my own broker account to use MT5 with a prop firm?
No. The firm issues login credentials for its own MT5 server when your account starts. You install the standard MT5 terminal and sign in with those credentials — no personal broker relationship is involved.
What if a firm drops MT5 after I buy?
Platform line-ups do change, and a firm that loses MT5 access will migrate accounts to another platform. That risk is worth pricing in: check how recently the firm's platform list changed and confirm MT5 on its site on the day you purchase.
