Trading Rules

News Trading

News trading is fully allowed during:

• Phase 1
• Phase 2
• Funded accounts have restrictions around major red-folder economic events.

Restrictions

Traders cannot:

• Open trades
• Close trades
• Trigger stop losses or take profits

Within:

• 5 minutes before
• 5 minutes after

Major high-impact news releases.

48-Hour Exception

• Trades held for more than 48 hours before a news event are exempt from the restriction.

Prohibited Strategies

BrightFunded prohibits:

• Latency arbitrage
• Tick scalping exploitation
• Server abuse
• High-frequency exploitative execution
• Reverse hedging between accounts
• Gambling-style trading behavior

Inactivity Rule

Accounts may become inactive after:

• 30 consecutive calendar days without placing a trade.

Payout Policy

Default Split

• 80% trader
• 20% BrightFunded

Upgrade Options

Optional upgrades allow:

• 90% instant payout split
• Up to 100% split through scaling plans
