Consistency Rules

FTMO 1-Step – Best Day Rule

FTMO applies a 50% Best Day Rule on:

• FTMO Challenge: 1-Step
• FTMO Account: 1-Step

Rule

Your single best trading day cannot exceed:

• 50% of your total Positive Days’ Profit.

Important Notes

• Violating the Best Day Rule does not breach the account.
• Traders may continue trading until the percentage falls below 50%.
• The rule resets after payouts on FTMO 1-Step accounts.

Firm Rules

News Trading

• Prohibited for funded traders (Non-swing accounts).
• Allowed for swing accounts.
• Allowed during Evaluation.

Weekend Trading

• Holding trades over the weekend is prohibited for funded traders (Non-swing accounts).

Capital Allocation Limit

• 400k max capital per strategy per person.
• Accounts with identical trading strategies exceeding $400,000 allocated capital may be suspended.

Third-Party Trading

• Your account must not be traded by any third party.

Position Sizes

• Opening significantly bigger position sizes or substantially more or fewer positions compared to your other trades is prohibited.

Forbidden Trading Practices

• Provider reserves the right to determine at its discretion if certain trades, practices, strategies, or situations are considered forbidden trading.

Multiple Profile Accounts

• Opening multiple profile accounts is prohibited.

Copy Trading

• Allowed.

EAs (Expert Advisors)

• Allowed.

Minimum Trading Days

• 4 days.

Inactivity

• You must open at least one trade every 30 days to prevent account termination due to inactivity.
• Alternatively, you can request to freeze your account for 7 days to 6 months to avoid termination.
