Research methodology
Prop Firm Trader turns current firm documentation and structured market data into practical comparisons, reviews and guides. This page explains what we consider evidence and how we handle changes.
Source hierarchy
- Current structured information collected from prop firms and their official documentation.
- Current official pricing, rules, FAQ, terms and announcement pages.
- Official platform or regulator documentation where it is relevant.
- Reputable independent sources for context that a primary source cannot establish.
Affiliate and purchase links are commercial destinations. We never count them as evidence.
Verification and dates
Material prices, limits, payout rules and restrictions are checked against the evidence attached to that article revision. Articles show a checked-through date. When a structured fact has no suitable public source URL, it is labelled as a dated PropFirmTrader structured-dataset source rather than described as an official page.
Updates and corrections
Firm terms can change. Material source changes trigger review, but the existing article stays available while a replacement is checked. A refreshed revision is published on the same canonical URL only after its facts, sources and presentation pass review. Update dates change only when the public article changes.
Commercial independence
Some pages contain affiliate links and we may earn a commission from qualifying actions. Commercial relationships do not replace evidence, loosen verification requirements or determine whether a factual claim passes review.
