FundedNext Futures' help center published a new article on 2026-10-01 spelling out its trading hours policy in full. The rule itself is not new, but this is the first time the firm has documented it as a standalone article: all positions must close by 3:10 PM CT daily, with the next session opening at 5:00 PM CT.

What changed and when

On 2026-10-01, FundedNext Futures' help center added an article titled "What Are the Trading Hours in FundedNext Futures?" This is a newly documented FAQ entry, not evidence that the underlying rule or the futures product itself is new. What it does confirm is a single, firm-wide trading hours policy that applies consistently to both the Challenge Account during the evaluation phase and the funded FundedNext Account afterward.

The permitted trading window

The mechanics are straightforward. Each session opens at 5:00 PM CT and runs until 3:10 PM CT the following day. By that 3:10 PM CT cutoff, every open position must be closed. Anything left open at that moment is automatically closed by FundedNext Futures, not by the trader. The firm's FAQ is explicit that no overnight or weekend trade holding is allowed under any account type. After the weekend break, trading resumes on Sunday at 5:00 PM CT, matching the standard daily reopen time.

What it means for traders

Traders need to build their exit planning around the 3:10 PM CT deadline every single day, since forced liquidation at that time removes any discretion over exit price or timing. The upside of this structure is that it eliminates gap risk: positions can't sit exposed to price moves while markets are closed overnight or over the weekend, and FundedNext Futures frames this explicitly as account protection against unintended losses from price fluctuations outside trading hours. Because the rule applies equally during the Challenge Phase and the live FundedNext Account, habits built while evaluating carry over directly once funded, there's no adjustment period to relearn the cutoff. The firm's own FAQ guidance also makes clear that monitoring positions and closing them before the daily cutoff is the trader's responsibility, not an automated safety net to rely on.
