How the maths works
- 1. Risk amount. Account size × risk percent.
- 2. Firm cap. Risk is clamped to what is left of the account's daily loss limit, and to the max loss limit.
- 3. Position size. Risk ÷ (stop distance in ticks × tick value per contract), rounded down to whole contracts.

How many futures contracts can I size on a Tradeify $150K account?
On the $150K · 1-Step · Select (50% consistency) account, a 1% risk target with a 20-tick ES stop at $12.50 per tick per contract gives a $1,500 risk budget after any listed loss-limit cap. Rounding down gives 6 whole ES contracts, risking $1,500 at the stop. Check Tradeify's contract cap and remaining loss buffer.
Does Tradeify have a daily loss limit?
Yes. The listed daily loss values we track for Tradeify include $1,250 on the $50K · Instant · Lightning account, $2,500 on the $100K · Instant · Lightning account, $3,000 on the $150K · Instant · Lightning account. The calculator caps your risk to the selected account's limit.
What happens if a trade would breach Tradeify's limits?
The calculator caps the risk budget at the listed daily buffer. At Tradeify, a soft daily loss limit pauses trading for the session, while touching the maximum trailing drawdown fails the account. Check your live balance and the rules for your plan before trading.
